It’s 2020 with new intentions for the year. Is more exercise one of yours?
I started last year by enrolling in three classes. Zumba two times a week, Brain/Body Fitness for an hour and then Choreography right afterwards once a week.
Dancer Dianna Rawley teaches a new dance routine every four weeks. We started with “Thriller” (my first one with her and it was too advanced for me). Then we did “Dancing in the Rain,” (more my speed but the umbrella props added humorous mistakes as we learned it). The photo above was taken at the last class with the New York New York routine (my favorite).
Dianna also teaches the Brain Body Fitness class, which challenges coordination but is worth training the brain to learn new patterns.
The Zumba class is the most fun. This video is not our class, but it will give you an idea what it’s like if you’ve never been to one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBNVX-I5Z3c
Here in California, these kinds of exercise classes are easy to find. If you try one out and it’s not quite what you like, try another one at a different location. The instructors have different methods of teaching and some, more than others, establish a community feeling.
When exercise is fun, the commitment is easier to keep.
Let me know what is your favorite exercise.
