Standing Rock Receives Gifts Of Tiny Houses

standing-rock-reservation-signLand owners donated 5  large trees that were dead or dying in Oregon. Volunteers built three tiny houses in three weeks with the milled wood from those trees and brought them to Standing Rock in North Dakota. A volunteer trucker transported the tiny houses along with donated wood stoves, solar energy systems, bread, organic pork, salmon, hamburger, and produce for the water protectors.

The camp’s tipis and tents can not sustain enough warmth in the 20-below weather this winter. People want to help and volunteers showed up, “thousands of people working together, sharing stories, fighting a pipeline with prayer and creativity.” To read more from  Yes! Magazine, click here.
