I met Ann Pachett at a book reading in Danville, California a few years ago. Several writer friends and I converged at Rakestraw Books for a boxed lunch and listened to Pachett. She is one of my top 5 authors and her entertaining talk made me admire her even more.
I waited last in line to have her sign a bag full of her books that I had read, plus her new one I purchased that day, This is the Story of a Happy Marriage. I asked if I could have a photo with her, she said yes, and added that I was the first one that week of her tour to request it. I’ve treasured the photo but filed it in a ‘special place’ which I can’t find right now.
Here is an interesting article about her, her bookstore in Tennessee, and her upcoming tour for Commonwealth. Click here.
What is your favorite Ann Patchett novel?
(I can’t choose because I love them all.)
