“Your Book Is Your Expanded Business Card”

I’ve heard about Canva to customize designs. “Canva is an online designing software that makes designing images simple and is easily accessible allowing you to create designs for Web or print. Canva has various preloaded layouts that you can use and customise to create blog graphics, presentations, Facebook covers, flyers, posters, invitations and even magazines and eBooks.” Click here.

I tried it today with a quote from Brian Tracy. As usual, I didn’t take the time to read the tutorials. I experimented and below is my first Canva design. It was easy, but I have several questions about how to change the font after I’ve saved the design, how to size it better, etc. But for now, here it is without using directions. It’s easier than Photoshop.

Do you agree with Tracy?

    1. I think it would be good to read the tutorials to make it more rich, which I will do in my “spare time”, ha-ha, whatever or whenever that is. Anyway have fun with it.

  1. No, I don’t agree one’s book is an expanded business card. Just sub in some names. Grapes of Wrath is John Steinbeck’s expanded business card.

PS Apologies if this appears twice.

    1. Yes, I agree with you on that point. The statement is limited when an author has multiple books. We are encouraged to carry our book with us wherever we go to expand the exposure. In that way it is like a business card. Plus to show a book of yours that’s published is more impressive than a little card.
Thanks for commenting and it only appeared once.
