This Weekend, Women’s National Book Association, WNBA S F Chapter, will have an exhibitor table at the Mark Hopkins Hotel, lower level. Their event for Friday night is called INSPIRING VOICES OF HOPE: The Afghan Women’s Writing Project, #Free California Room, Mark Hopkins Hotel, SF. Friday, Feb. 12, 8:30-9:30pm.
The Women’s National Book Association is a national organization of women and men who work with and value books. A non-profit 501(c)3 organization, WNBA exists to promote reading and to support the role of women in the community of the book. The purposes of WNBA are educational and charitable. They promote recognition of women’s achievements in the book industry. Their charitable project is The Afghan Women’s Writing Project.
The Women’s National Book Association has been a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) member of the United Nations since 1959. An NGO is defined as “any non-profit, voluntary citizens’ group that is organized on a local, national or international level.
