Laura Fraser is the co-founder and editorial director of Shebooks.net, a new digital storytelling platform by and for women. She helps women share their stories to inspire, educate, entertain, and empower each other. She spoke at the Women’s National Book Association–San Francisco Chapter meeting on Saturday.
Shebooks is a curated collection of short e-books that are easy to download and read on any digital device. They are like an e-book boutique where anyone can find a story to fit a busy life. Short fiction, memoir, or journalism submissions are handpicked by magazine and book editors. The e-books are available individually or by subscription.
Submissions requests are on hold at present since Shebooks is creating a new high tech system which should be in effect by late spring of this year. The first ‘Best Of” Shebooks print anthology, Whatever Doesn’t Kill You, is available at http://www.amazon.com/Whatever-Doesnt-Kill-You-forgiveness/dp/1940838746/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421019110
